November - December 2018: PER PUROK HYPERTENSION ASSEMBLY


To increase Hypertensive individuals’ awareness regarding their disease, a per purok assembly was organised where the purok leaders were the lecturers.

After the lecture questions were entertained by the purok leaders. To assess the knowledge of the hypertensive individuals a pre and post test were given.

Medication adherence of the hypertensive individuals were then measured. The task of formulating a strategy to improve and remind each other to take their medications were given to the leaders of each purok.

To test the effectiveness of having a support group in the adherence of the members their adherence will be assessed and their blood pressure after a month will be compared with their baseline blood pressure.
