The national government is taking its part in assisting the community especially the indigent families. For the farmers’ community, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) locally in Venus known as VeSCoFarMpA or Venus Small Coconut Farmer’s Multipurpose Association, assists them by granting them money/capital to start their own business or for their personal use. The organization also gives out coconut seedlings for them to plant. Aside from the opportunity to grow a coconut tree, PCA will also give them Php 40 for every tree that they successfully planted. Farm animals such as cows and goats are also given to families registered in the organization. For the women’s community, their organization is called Kalapi, locally known in Venus as Venus Nutrisquash Pancit Canton, which is under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Members of the organization are gathered to help out the DSWD in feeding the school children.
