As part of the livelihood projects conducted by the team, a bookkeeping seminar in coordination with DTI Negosyo Center Sergio Osmeña was conducted among the officers of Women’s Organization. This is to educate the officers in accounting their profits from their Venus Nutri-Squash Pancit Canton business.
In order to generate additional income in the community, a series of income generating activities and seminars were conducted in the barangay. In the past, seminar on food processing in coordination with DOST was conducted. With this, the residents of Venus were able to learn how to prepare delicacies from corn such as corn polvoron, corn pastillas and corn fritters. Organic farming seminar was also conducted in the barangay.
To educate the residents especially the Women’s Organization in proper computation and accounting of their profits with their business, simple bookkeeping seminar was done. This was also participated by other residents in the municipality.
