JANUARY - MARCH 2019: RECYCLING ACTIVITIES

Continuation of the weekly recycling activity resumed this February 2019 with a twist! The recycling activity was now a contest to encourage and push students to recycle more! Several videos were presented to stir up ideas and recycled materials were given to the students for them to work on. A criteria was also formulated to fairly select winners of the weekly recycling activity. The criteria for the recycling activities are as follows:

First two weeks of the activity, the students were encouraged to use plastic bottles as their main material since a bulk of the barangay's generated wastes are non-biodegradable, specifically, plastic. The next weeks, the students were encouraged to recycle plastic wrappers. The students were also given junk food wrappers and cellophanes. They were also given spare paints from the fun run activity.

First and second weeek of recycling activity at VES.

The winners were given ribbons, certificates and food as a token of recognition. The students who also made their project received certificates of appreciation.

Sadly, the batch of students we were working with will be graduating this March 2019. We hope we left good values and spark up creativity to our children in creating a clean and green environment.
