DECEMBER 2018: DISCO SA PASKO

 Disco sa Pasko was the most awaited event in Brgy. Venus on the month of December 2018. The program started with a grand zumba around 5:00 pm and finished around 6:00 pm. A transition time was alloted from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This was also to give way to the church goers for their Simbang Gabi at the same time, preparation phase for the contest proper.

 Doxology and National anthem followed by an opening remarks from our very supportive Brgy. Captain, Hon. Renie Boy Escribano.  The contest proper formally started around 8:00 pm.

There were five entries for the caroling contest and three entries for the Per Purok Christmas Tree Making Contest. The Christmas Tree Making Contest is an activity under the CHP on Improper Solid Waste Management to promote Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

 Ms. Jonah Entrina and SPO1 Charlot Lapiz.

Caroling Contest

First Place: Mars

Second Place: Senior Citizens

Third Place: Jupiter

Christmas Tree Making Contest

First Place: Uranus

Second Place: Mars

Third Place: Jupiter

Best in Zumba:

Arona Gabuya (Female Category)

Patricio Tumarong (Male Category)

 

The awarding was followed by a series of parlor games. Finally, the disco proper. By 12 midnight, the following were also awarded as:

Danica Ragas - Quirante (Female Category)

Santino Quirante (Male Category)

Star of the Night:

Antonio Lagod

Sure was a fun-filled night! The efforts were all worth it!
