Based on the CBMS 2008 data, there are 601 males and 578 females aged 10 and above who are illiterate. There are 60 children ages 6-12 years old that do not attend elementary school. Out of these, 35 are males and 25 are females. There are 67 children ages 13-16 years old that do not attend high school. Out of these, 31 are males and 36 are females. On the other hand, there are 53 children ages 6-16 years old that do not attend school at all. Out of these, 23 are males and 30 are females.
