Majority of the residents in the community follows Roman Catholic and Seventh day Adventist religion. When it comes to the distribution of ethnicity in Venus, Sergio Osmeña, majority of people in the community are natives of Siquijor. In the past, the Subanen tribe used to be inhabitants of the area. Most of the people speak the Visayan dialect.
