Three words would describe our second stay in the community; meetings, meetings... And meetings. It's basically focused in tapping for the participation of existing community organizations, stakeholders, municipal offices, and especially the community people.
What the group basically did was to first collaborate with the health personnel in the barangay before proceeding into the conduction of survey, and asked for their assistance. And then we went to meet with the existing community organizations to strengthen the bond with them and also identify existing community concerns with them. Our group also had a meeting with Ma'am joy, the sanitary inspector of the barangay, and discussed the sanitary conditions and current programs they are implementing, and came up with ideas in order to address these existing concerns. The group also collaborated with DSWD, and agreed to work hand in hand with them.
Lastly, the meeting with the community people. The entire process to simply communicate with them, to meet with them and identify health concerns with them took several weeks. Meeting with them is the very purpose of our stay, because for the next four years, we will be living with them.
